 /7/31 Several attempts were made to get the RVP8 running again this morning. After the initial power on the RVP was pingable from radar1 but IRIS still reported no DSP connection. After running  several test codes while sshed into RVP it hit an error that it could not interact with the IO card. The RVP was then rebooted but now the IFD lights refused to turn on. The RAM was reseated again, and all cable connections were checked. The RVP still is unable to boot, and connected monitor showed no input. The RVP is currently powered off and another attempt will be made on Monday to start the RVP8.
+/8/3 The RVP was rebooted and the sudo command /sbin/service rvp8 stop followed by /sbin/service rvp8 start started the IFD and rvp functions. This can be done remotely as well as at the RVP.
 /8/15 The new Jump Station was installed by UND IT allowing ethernet connection and faster data transfer. It also allows a more secure connection to outside computers.
+/10/9 Several attempts were made to get the RVP8 booted, it is refusing to boot without a keyboard and monitor attached.
+/10/12 To fix the loose fuse connection for the 28+ fuse holder, a small piece of plastic was placed between the spring connector and the plastic casing. The fuse holder is a Bussman HKR-22-33V indicator fuse holder, and a new one could be ordered. A modern equivalent may not have the indicator and an unused old fuse may be hard to find.
