The radar is a magnetron system that operates at 5.6 GHZ.

The magnetron is located in the penthouse of Clifford Hall in the Green Transmitter Cabinet on the east wall.

March 2010 - Replaced Transmitter Cabinet cooling fan

? 2010 - Replaced magnetron blower fan

Summer 2011 - Replaced UPS batteries

November 2011 - Transmitter kept shutting down in the middle of scans with 1000 PRF. Lowered PRF to 900 and problem was fixed. Conversations with others with similar system mentioned that this might be due to an old magnetron. The magnetron current might be heating the wire insulation and causing it to loose integrity and cause a short. Suggestion is to replace the magnetron.
