Example Project Organization
A well-organized project should include:
- A clear project question.
- A short description of the data.
- A list of tools used.
- Notes about data quality.
- Links to scripts, notebooks, figures, and outputs.
- Short explanations of results.
- Papers or references connected to the project.
- A final summary or presentation.
Tips for Students
- Update your workspace every week.
- Use clear headings.
- Use dates in your updates.
- Link to files instead of leaving them only on your personal computer.
- Keep raw data separate from processed data.
- Do not overwrite old versions without keeping a record.
- Save papers and references in Zotero or another organized reference list.
- Ask questions early when you are stuck.
