Intial Raspberry Pi setup instructions
1.Change the hostname to TIMMS-SN00XXX /etc/hostname “TIMMS-SN00XXX” Example for TIMMS with a serial number SN00200 in the command line use “sudo vi /etc/hostname TIMMS-SN00200” without parentheses as typed below
sudo vi etc/hostname TIMMS-SN00200
2. Change /etc/host Example: Use the command “sudo vi etc/hosts” then from here set 127.0.1.1 to TIMMS-SN00XXX with the serial number of the tripod
sudo vi /etc/hosts
3. Update the base raspberry pi software using the command “sudo apt-get update” to check available updates then “sudo apt upgrade” to perform the updates.
sudo apt-get update
4. Install anydesk via the link https://anydesk.com/en/downloads/linux
5.Set Password to standard password (if you don't know the standard password ask Dr. Delene)
6. Placeholder for adding the sourceforge ADPAA repository to the raspberry pi
After these steps are done move onto setting up the camera depending on which type of camera is being used back on the main tripod page
