Optical Icing Conditions Detector (OICD)

USB Storage
- There is sufficient storage for 25-30 hours, so download weeks during field projects.
- Download files from 'Data Log' with the *.oid extension.
- Remove the flash drive and mount it to a PC.
- Do not remove the 'Data Log' folder.
- After copying *.oid files, delete from flash drive. If some files are corrupted and can't be removed don't worry about them.
- Return the flash drive to the aircraft. It will start recording again.

Problems and Solutions
October 19, 2010 Tightened the connector screws on the OID RS232 Port. Also installed a flex cable to keep the cable connector closer to detector enclosure.
Problems and Solutions
November 29, 2011 Goodrich work on the 2C and O.I.D. Issues w/ the 2C and it's control box. Trouble shot and found 2C low on voltage. Jonathan took both back and switched the O.I.D. to the right side rack. Installed fan and drilled holes for the reflector for the O.I.D. Note: Right side glass insert has 2C coated glass, left side glass only 1 coating. 2C can only be used on right side, and O.I.D. can be used on either side.
