The maximum TAS for the HVSP is 50 meters per second. Since the Citation aircraft TAS is greater than 50 meters per second, the TAS sent to the HVPS is modified. The result of these modification is that the aircraft data system uses a HVPS pixel size of 400 um and the TAS received from the HVPS probe has to be multiplied by 2. The reason for this modification was given to David Delene on October 8, 2004 by Darren O'Connor, Senior Systems EE, SPEC Inc., 303.449.1105 Voice, 303.449.0132 FAX, www.specinc.com.
See HVPS_TAS.pdf to understand the HVPS true air speed clock on the SEA M200/M300 data system.
