Zotero is an open, cross platform software of management of citations.
Download Web pluggins and stand-alone client from the Web.
To Sync stand-alone client to online account
On stand-alone
Under 'Tools' → 'Options', enter username and password to sync with online account.
Hit refresh icon to upload files on stand-alone and view libraries.
To use Americal Meteorological Society (AMS) Bibliography style

Add style to Stand-alone, select Tools/Preferences, select the Cite tab and the Styles tab. Use the + icon to add the downloaded AMS style.
Set AMS as default output option, on Zotero Stand Alone Select Tools/Preferences, select Export tab and select American Meteorological Society in the pull down list under Default Output Format.
To Import citations and PDFs
Search for the desired scholarly article on the web.
When viewing article/citation a Zotero icon should appear on the navigation bar giving you the option to “Save to Zotero”
Make sure that on the stand-alone client the library you want the citation imported to is highlighted.
Click the Zotero icon on the navigation bar and the citation will be imported into the desired library.
To import a PDF, view the online version of the PDF and follow the same steps listed above.
