Replaced the two USB hard drive on the profile computer. The new drives use USB external power. Could only get one drive to work and this was by moving the USB GPS device to a different USB port which caused the GPS device to stop working. The new drive was left to fill with data; however, the GPS time update was left not working. An email was sent to NOAA requesting an external USB power system for these drives. The two hard drives were sent back to NOAA.
The A/C unit was not working when turn on. The installer, Tom, was phoned but couldn't be reached. Messages were left on both of his numbers.
Talked to Jason at the Office next to the field site. He has a new position and we should talk with Dave Bennett about things related to the site.
The cooling fan Microwave Radiometer was making a lot of noise. The instrument was shutdown and repairs attempted. The data recording computer for the Microwave Radiometer was not working (probably a failed power supply). The computer and cooling fan were taken back for repairs.
The Glacialridge2 was rebooted. This fixed the issue with not getting trailer temperature data on the Web site.
Security updates were applied to Glacialridge2.
Permissions were changed on the Atlantis Web server to fix problem with Web camera images not showing up on the site. The software was changed to save the latest 10 images. Maybe we can use these to make a look on the site. Check of the Web sites shows that images are updating every 5 minutes and the last 10 images are being saved.
The new Glacialridge1 would not work to show the Met station date. The website was changed to use Glacialridge2 until we can fix the software on Glacialridge1.
The rain gauge was put out. The wiring was disconnected in the data logger box and couldn't find any information at the site. Connected it up where it looked reasonable. Will need to figure out if this is working and if not find out where it needs to be connected.
