====== University of North Dakota (UND) Affiliate Status ====== ===== Purpose ===== The affiliate status is required at UND for people working with UND personnel who need network, email access, or other account access, This includes all employed students that leave the University, as employed students have all account, including email accounts, removed automatically when terminated. By having the affiliate status approved ahead of time, employed students will not have email and other accounts suspended upon termination. Retraining email account access was tested in August/September 2024 with Nicholas Camp affiliate status request/approval and then termination. ===== Process ===== The online [[https://na3.docusign.net/Member/PowerFormSigning.aspx?PowerFormId=86c6937e-4ad9-48f0-9d67-3435dabb434f&env=na3&acct=0b6b418b-b8d9-464a-afd1-2c657718f7b9&v=2|Affiliate Access Request Form]] needs to be completed. The [[https://campus.und.edu/human-resources/_files/docs/affiliates/affiliate-instructions-final-2024.pdf|Affiliate Access Request Form Instructions]] are confusing. There are four people required for the form. For David Delene to request access for Dr. YoungSuk Oh in the department of Atmospheric Science, the people would be: **Sponsoring Depatment/Program/Unit** Matt Gilmore **Person requesting access to UND facilities/systems** Dr. YoungSuk Oh **Department/Program Unit Affiliate Contact** David Delene **Vice President or Designee** Heather Wages ==== October 2024 ==== Submitted a request using the above information for Dr. YoungSuk Oh. ==== August 2024 ==== The form itself is currently wrong in requiring three signatures as the policy only requires two. Hence, the requester should sign the first two signatures and have the department head sign the third items. This method was approved for Nicholas Camp.
