    - The hard part is seeing how your research fits with the call.  For example, doing measurements of electric fields in clouds. Maybe there is a way to relate in-cloud electric files to satellite observations; however, what problems does this solve, improve frequency of rocket launches?

  - Budget Draft Creation and Review (1 Month before submission for complex budgets, 2 weeks for simple budgets)

Answer: It is best to create a Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending Proposals/projects using the National [[https://account.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/|Library of Medicine]] system and [[https://orcid.org/|ORCiD] access.

  * 2024/09/23: What is the process of obtaining Aerospace College approve on internal proposals?
Answer: For budget and justification, send a draft budget and justification to Amber. A helpful budget tool can be found at https://und.edu/research/grants-and-funding/pre-award-forms.html. Amber will work with the PI to modify the budget. Once she approves the budget and justification, send the final version to her.
For signatures from the Dean or Department Chair, use DocuSign at https://account.docusign.com/. Login with your UND account, draft the document and add the Dean and/or the Department Chair's names and emails. Once you finish the document. Click "Send." You will be notified by email (dse_na3@docusign.net) once all the signatures have been completed and you will receive the final signed document as an attachment.

  * 2024/09/23: Does the Aerospace College need a record of internal proposals submitted?
Answer: For the internal proposals that don’t go through Novelution, Amber keep digital files of the working papers on the budgets and justifications for JDO fiscal. RSPD is also maintaining a record of the submissions for the internal calls they put out.
