phditto tool is used to remotely access photon windows interface over internet. Communication could be established from a QNX 6.4 or a QNX 4.25 machine.

In order to run the phditto tool TCP/IP settings must be properly configured and inetd server must be running on the remote machine. With these in mind, phrelay line in /etc/inetd.conf file must be uncommented and phrelay must be defined in /etc/services file before attempting to execute phditto tool.

After ensuring these steps phditto utility is called by typing on a shell window:

  phditto -t IP_ADDRESS_OF_THE_REMOTE_QNX_MACHINE

Here -t switch establishes the connection via internet. If everything works properly, you should be able to get a remote screen on your local photon workspace.
