====== General Information ======
  * The printer is a Prusa Core One +
  * There are a multitude of types of filament (plastic) that the printer can print. Some plastics, such as ABS, can produce toxic / harmful vapors. The printer is currrently **not equipped** with an advanced filtration system, meaning these plastics **__SHOULD NOT__** be printed in the printer. ====== First-Time User Setup ======
===== Prusa Slicer =====
  * A slicer is the software used to turn the 3D model you want to print into "instructions" that the printer can read. The easiest software to use with the printer in our lab is called PrusaSlicer. The software is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, IOS, Android, etc. The setup process can be found here: https://www.prusa3d.com/p/prusaslicer/
  * Prusa Connect is the software used to wirelessly send gcode files to the printer. Setup can be performed in the Prusa Slicer software.

Important Information
  * When setting up PrusaSlicer, ensure that you select the PRUSA Core One and Core One+ profile, with the 0.4HF Nozzle.
  *  There is a multitude of different materials available for printing that require different profiles. BEFORE printing it is incredibly important you verify the type of filament inserted. Damage can occur if the hotend is not heated to the appropriate temperature for the type of filament.
  * To connect to printer, you must create a Prusa account and be invited to the team. Email jacob.halmos@und.edu with the email address you used to create the account so you can be added.
====== Printing Process ======
===== Inserting Filament =====
  - Ensure the proper filament is loaded.
  - On the printer click Filament, and follow the instructions for what you would like to do. (Load, unload, etc.) Make sure you select the correct filament you are inserting, since this changes the required temperature of the hotend, bed, and enclosure.

===== Choosing / Cleaning the Bed =====
  - Different materials require a different print bed. Currently the only bed we have is a smooth plate, which works great for PLA. If using PETG or other materials, reference Prusa's website for the proper bed plate to use.
  - Ensure that you clean the bed with IPA Alcohol, and leave no fingerprints behind. Fingerprints will reduce adhesion on the bed and cause prints to separate / fail. 
  - Ensure that the bed is fully put in place to the locking mechanism.
===== Sending the File to the Printer - USB =====
  - Remove USB Stick from Printer
  - Connect USB stick to computer and drag / drop GCode file to USB Stick
  - Insert USB stick to printer
  - A prompt should appear with the newly added file.
  - Click "Print"
  - Once print has completed, remove USB stick and delete GCode file.
===== Sending the File to the Printer - Prusa Connect =====
  - In Prusa Slicer, click "Send to prusa connect" once slicing is complete.
===== Removing the Part =====
  * After printing has completed, it is important that you completely wait for the bed to return to room temperature before attempting to remove the part.
  * To remove, carefully lift the plate off the surface and slightly bend it. The part should naturally release. NOTE: In some instances using different materials / supports, it may be difficult to remove parts. DO NOT try to use your fingernail. Instead, use a plastic scraper (near the printer) to get underneath the part and carefully lift it.
  * Avoid excessive fingerprints on the build plate. This can lead to failed prints due to parts lifting off the surface before printing has completed. If this occurs, carefully wipe build plate with isopropyl alcohol. 
===== Preparing printer for next user =====
  * After the part has been removed, ensure the build plate is securely put back in place, and clean of fingerprints / debris. Set printer state to "ready" on the display. 
====== Switching Filament ======
  * On the main menu, click FILAMENT
  * Click "UNLOAD"
  * The filament will not obviously move, however, once the process is complete, carefully but not forcefully pull the filament out of the tube on the right hand side where the spool of filament is.
  * Remove the spool
  * Replace with new spool, ensuring direction is correct to provide the path of least resistance.
  * Insert filament. You will need to press relatively firm at first to pass through the sensor, however it will need to make it all the way to the hot end and will not be able to be pushed in further before clicking the LOAD button.
  * Click "LOAD"
====== Common Errors ======
===== Printer is not connected to Prusa Connect =====
  * In certain instances, the printer will show as OFFLINE on prusa connect. This is due to the limited range of the WIFI module in the printer. A short term solution I have found is to press the RESET button on the display of the printer. If this still does not work, manual printing using the included USB drive is required.

  * If using PETG, it is highly recommended to use the textured sheet (not available in ATSC lab.) Since we do not have access to it, another method is to put a thin layer of glue stick down on the surface where you will be printing. Failure to do this can result in the part being impossible to remove from the bed, damage to the bed, and more.
